Sinema, The Hook to serve at Nashville Farmers Market
Market Series takes place 2nd Saturday of every month

February 8, 2016 – Executive chef and culinary director Dale Levitski announces ‘Chefs at the Market,’ a monthly series in partnership with Nashville Farmers Market. The pop ups will take place in the Grow Local Kitchen at the market on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Rotating between Sinema and The Hook, the culinary team will serve brunch or lunch, rotating between Sinema and The Hook, 10:30 a.m. until sell out.
The culinary team, which includes Levitksi, Vasisht Ramasubramanian (Chef V), Kyle Patterson, and Alex Leibow, will work with seasonal ingredients and area farmers and purveyors when creating the monthly menus.
The Hook, which opened February 3, will pop up at Nashville Farmers Market on Saturday, February 13, with a selection of early crowd favorites. The menu, which is subject to change, is as follows: Veggie Dip, Crab Rangoon Dip, Pickle’s Chick sandwich, Italian Beef sandwich, Mixed Grains salad, and sweet treats from pastry chef Allie Crowe.
“I often see Nashville chefs visit the market on weekend mornings, visiting with purveyors and making selections for their restaurants,” said Tasha Kennard, Director of Nashville Farmers Market. “It’s a delight to see. Dale and his team regularly source both here and directly from the farms, and I’m excited to have them in the Grow Local Kitchen to visit with and serve market visitors.”
On Saturday, March 9, the series continues as Chef Kyle Patterson of Sinema partners with Bear Creek Farms and Tomato Tomato. The remaining themes will be announced, but dates are as follows: April 9, The Hook; May 14, Sinema; June 11, The Hook; July 9, The Hook; August 13, Sinema; September 10, The Hook; October 8, The Hook; November 12, Sinema; and December 10, Sinema.
“We have an ongoing relationship with Nashville Farmers Market and the local purveyors they host, and it’s exciting to have the opportunity to offer this series that showcases the fresh ingredients that we use in the restaurants daily,” said Levitski. “Showcasing both restaurants and the culinary viewpoints within our team will be an exciting journey this year. We mostly look forward to interacting with guests!”
The Hook is located at 2222 8th Ave South, and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Sinema Restaurant & Bar is located at 2600 Franklin Pike, and serves dinner Monday – Saturday, and Sunday brunch.
